Since Jerry died, did everybody just start living normal lives or did they join communes and rainbow? I know there will be some of all of the above but still want some feedback... Especially if you lived it!!!

When Jerry died it was like their "god" died. But yeah they still follow other bands as mentioned but it's not the same. I always enjoyed the scene, especially the large gatherings where "heads" camped outside the venue for a few days. I remember being in Oxford Maine; a tiny town of 6000 people and a police force of 1. There were over 130 thousand heads gathered for the two-night Grateful Dead shows at the speedway. Lots of vendors were set up selling just about everything. I got a hat, bracelets and some tye-dyed clothing. I still wear some of the stuff that hasn't worn out yet.

The dead heads were cool, but I'm a parrot head. Jimmy Buffet rocks. Read a couple of his books. They are a trip. A Salty Piece OF Land, and Has Anybody Seen Joe Marchant? are both a trip through the Caribbean and South America that are excellent.

Yup! Phollowing Phish, The Other Ones, Mickey Hart and his world drumming projects and many others. Instead of Deadheads having only one point of focus, now they have many.
