Probably I'd be a garden rake. I could both stir things up and smooth things out. I could scratch the surface just to move things around, or I could really dig in and rile things up to make a big difference. I could yank things up by the roots to clean up the garden, or I could prepare a space to plant new seedlings. And, if tread on, I could be a force to be reckoned with -- maybe "a pain", definitely "in your face." Yup... no doubt... a garden rake.

A shovel; simple but adaptable. You use it to both remove and create, dig and pile, push and pull, pry and pat, mix and divide. But most of all it makes work easier for you.
