I am a White American woman married to an African man. We live in China.
First, let me say that I would marry again if I had it to do all over again, but being married to a person from another culture is much harder than you can imagine. Every argument my husband and I have stems from our cultural differences. Every one without exception. A marriage between two cultures can certainly work, but only if you have realistic expectations going in. There are problems in any marriage and marriage requires an adjustment. In a mixed marriage the problems are ten-fold. This is especially true when the woman comes from a more liberal culture with regard to male/female relationships than the man. Depending on your background in India and hers in Maylaysia, her culture may be more liberal than yours.
If you plan to go through with this, both you and your spouse should read some books about mixed marriages. I normally don't touch self-help books with a ten-foot pole, but I think I might have divorced my husband already if I hadn't read a couple of those books. I wish he would read them too.
Good luck to you.

If the love that joins the two in marriage is strong, then there is nothing wrong with two people of different ethnic backgrounds being together. What is more wrong is the fact that anyone even feels compelled to ask such a question. If the future bride-to-be has no qualms about living in a different country and adapting to that culture, then why should anyone else? The children will learn what they are taught by their parents. I can only imagine that if the parents are open-minded enough to get married knowing that the ignorance of others might, on occassion, spring its ugly head then they will be able to handle the situation. It's a whole new world out there and it's time we all joined in!

That depends how compatible both are with each other and how understanding. The girl has to have sufficient knowledge of the Indian Culture and Traditions. Coz she has to stay in India maybe with his parents and family. Many Indians still live in joint family structure. So all the best.

hey, if she can figure out a way to mix curry into the chinese food recipes, I don't see a problem.
The problem I do see is with the last sentence in your question: "Gal has to reside in India"??? Has to? why? So he can have total control? Why can't he move to Malaysia if he says he loves her?
Sorry, but is this "conditional love"? "You have to do this (move to my country) OR ELSE".

ohhh ,,
any ways ,, they all are human being ,, why not ..
WHO.......?
WHO is THAT ...?
not sure , if that was me or not...
not sure ,if that one who is naked as a dewdrop..
and that one who stand there,...
and watching you with his heart,,
not sure , if that was me or not...
that face which is full of ,
nails ..
and storms ...
and rocks...
really i am not sure of that ..
but i am sure ,...
that, that one whom loved you ..
and never loved any one like you ..
and always dream of you ..
that was me..
and sure i am from that ..
