Compaq's laptop windows 98?

i have a comaq laptop window 98
but it doesint take brodband
i want to know if i can use wireless internet or if i can use any else to make it take internet or brodband.
if anyone knows please help!!

Windows 98 will work on broadband however the problem you may be having is that your particular laptop is to old to support the card you are trying to install. You may have to purchase an older card or lower end card that still offers support for windows 98. However you should be able to install a wireless card if the card you are installing is compatible with windows 98. However it may be tough to find one as most wireless didnt come out until after 2000 and you will have problems finding drivers that work on that old of an operating system. Suggest you upgrade your laptop or find an older pcmcia network card to work with windows 98.

You should be able to use broadband, though. Is there a built-in network connection? If not, you'll need to get a PCMCIA network card to go into the "credit card" port.
