Ariel Ortega was one of the players who was buried with the mantle of the new Maradona. He never performed to that level, even he was a top player. He currently plays in Argentina for River Plate.

hey yeah....Ortega was a player with tremendous potential. He was hailed to be the next Maradona. I was thinking he would be the next maradona but he just could not lived up to the expectation. But anways he was one of Aregentina's great players. I don't know what he is doing currently. Have to do some searching online.

Was supposed to be the next Maradona (like hundreds of others) but i feel he never quite fuffilled his potential. just look at his record in italian football with both Parma and Sampdoria.......not great. I think he is more suited to the Argentinian leagues. Is he still in Turkey or has he moved back home???

He good, but I'm a Boca fan so i can't like him.
He is playing in River Plate and scored his first goal in the Argentine League against Racing Club.

The first time I saw him play, I though that the sky was the limit, he was so gifted. Like many, many Argentinian players, he never reached his potential.

yes hes so good. Did you hear what happened with him recently during practice? Well he got to practice 40 minutes late and he had to practice with the players from the bench.
