I have a draft coming up in a few days, and I'm a little worried that I don't have enough players on my personal cheat sheets. We have 10 teams in the league, each team has a roster size of 14. Starting players are 1 QB, 2 RB, 1 RB/WR, 2 WR/TE, 1 K, 1 DEF.

How many players do you think I should rank, particularly when it comes to RB, WR, TE?
Right now I have 28 RBs ranked, 34 QBs, 16 TEs, 53 WRs...is that enough?

I think you easily have enough QBs and TEs, especially since you don't need to start any TEs. You most likely have enough wideouts as well. Even if every team took 5 WRs you'd have enough. I may bump it up to 60 to be on the safe side but for the most part you should be fine. On the other hand, expect more then 28 RBs to be drafted. Figure that most teams will start 2-3 RBs and that most will want another 1-2 in reserve... I think honestly you should be looking at ranking closer to 50 RBs. That may seem excessive, but fantasy players scrounge after backup RBs in the latter rounds.

think about this... 10 teams and 14 roster spots = 140 total players.

You only need 1 K and 1 DST - so rank about 15 or so of each of them (a few teams will draft more than one).

You'll probably want to draft 2 TEs - so rank about 20 of them.

Everyone will want 2 QB's, and a few fools will even take 3 (silly if you only have 14 roster spots). Rank about 24.

You are way off in your RB calc - 10 teams with a bear minimum of 4 per team. So you need to be prepared for at least 40 RB - 50 would be better. Make sure you have depth charts with you, because you'll want to back up your starters.

50-60 WR should be fine.

i'm in a league with 10 teams, 16 players on each team with a starting lineup of 1 qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, 1 te, 1 k, 1 def. I have:
26 QBs
65 RBs
75 WRs
20 TEs
20 Ks
20 Defs

for you 1would recomend:
stay with the qbs
make a total of 55 rbs
a total of 60 wrs
go to 20 tes
20 ks
20 defs

good luck

No, everyone will draft backups. With a 10 person league and backups you can expect up to 60 RB's to be drafted, up to 60 WR's, 20+ tight ends and up to 30 qb's.
You are alright on some positions but you need a few more receivers to be safe and you need alot more RB's. For your RB list, complete it with starters first then move on to platoon backs. After that start ranking backups that have a decent chance of seeing some action or who have injury prone starters.

You have enough ranked, however, don't draft a tight end unless thier names are tony gonzalez or antonio gates. After that just stick with a wide reciever. And stack on Runningbacks. Theres no reason to rank so many quarterbacks.

That should be plenty, but what I do on my spread sheet is on the RB and QB's, my excel sheet also has there immediate back up in case of injury. So you handcuff your star and the back up in the late rounds also.
