I work at a work comp law firm inCA & we have cases that are over with in a year & some that go on for 6 or more years, It really depends on all the details of the case.

it could take yrs my partner took out a claim and it took 3 yrs to settle they want to know the ins and outs over and over again to see if what you say is the same all the time

and could go on for two years
most claims are delt with around 12 month
i have a claim going through, as i was stabbed seven times on a night out!!!! so that's what they said about all claims!!!

my mother in law case took 8 years to settle they offerd her 100,000 when the hostpital but her baby in a coma while doing a circumcision ,she didnt settle won the case for 11 million it pays to wait and not settle.
