I took out a claim against a company who i consider made me very ill and will get steadilly worse due to there lack of health and safety standards. Can the defence insurers drag it out forever .I feel they are dragging it out in the hope that i will accept anything as my health gets worse.

There are various legitimate reasons, some for your own good , which makes a claim take time.
A competent solicitor knows how to make the pace.

I work at a work comp law firm inCA & we have cases that are over with in a year & some that go on for 6 or more years, It really depends on all the details of the case.

it could take yrs my partner took out a claim and it took 3 yrs to settle they want to know the ins and outs over and over again to see if what you say is the same all the time

and could go on for two years
most claims are delt with around 12 month

i have a claim going through, as i was stabbed seven times on a night out!!!! so that's what they said about all claims!!!

my mother in law case took 8 years to settle they offerd her 100,000 when the hostpital but her baby in a coma while doing a circumcision ,she didnt settle won the case for 11 million it pays to wait and not settle.

The longer you wait, the more trips to the doctor, the sicker you get; the higher the payment. So don't rush it. What does your lawyer say?

it took me less than a year to get my compensation - i didnt actually want it!

Get a lawyer. He can fight them. If you fight them on your own, you're not gonna see anything.
