after death.blood in the vessels coagulate and settle down.thus the wt of blood which was initially circulating also adds 2 the wt of the body thus the body bcoms heavy

till death whatever weight the person had was being distributed downwards in a balanced way.The weight increase we ' feel' is actually due to change in centre of gravity the same thing which we experience while handling a bed ridden person. Added to this consider our inner sense of fear and disgust as we handle this body.
