well...I had wiped my pc then wanted to install the sims 2 back on and it just wont let me! it says please insert disk 1 or it says nothing at all!!what am i doing wrong?

i have been putting in disk 1 and it still says put in disk 1 if you didnt catch that

This is usually due to a hardware or media problem.
Make sure your CDs are clean. You may even need to wash with liquid dish soap them if they have greasy fingerprints. Towels can scratch up your CDs so good lens tissue or microfiber is better.

well for one are u putting the right disk in and have u tried getting a disc cleaner

It's a two disc set and if it doesn't work you can always download the game.

well you got a problem then. my gme doesnt even do that but try restarting your pc
