Not saying all terrorists are Iraqi, just asking if it's wrong to get nervous because someone who looks like they're from Iraq is on your plane?

Hmmm....ya know I guess for a split second I get tense, but then again I can't live in fear all the time, you know? And those Middle Eastern people usually end up being the most patient and polite passengers on the plane, so I kinda just have to laugh at myself.

Do you know what, everyone does it now b/c we are just wary of anyone that looks vaguely like an iraqi, it's not being racist it's just what will always happen, when i'm at the airport i always look around to see who's getting on the plane with me and if i see a man with a suitcase who looks like he's from the middle east i instantly worry and think i'm going to die. There will always be ppl with suspicions of iraqi's at the back of their mind.

"what's erroneous with the human beings of the middle East? Why are a good number of of them so obsessed on bringing greater dying into the international." you mean like invading Iraq and killing hundreds of thousands in an terrorist operation stated as ask your self and Awe after killing almost a million (especially toddlers) by way of sanctions? Or threatening each and every u . s . a . that doesnt persist with it surely the blindnees of a few brainwashed human beings and lack of ability to look interior the mirror at their very own international locations crimes is comical Sifting "they don't have self assurance in Jesus ~ that's what's incorrect with those human beings! usa is a Christian u . s . a .... and what do you recognize! there is no civil warfare or human beings bombing one yet another!" sure Christians never combat one yet another- WW1 and WWII have been fought by Hindus and Muslims And American are too busy bombing something of the international (21 international locations bombed in view that WWII) to bomb themseleves The astonishing ingredient is earlier the U. S. invasion of Iraq there develop into NO CIVIL warfare or human beings bombing one yet another - purely while the Amercians got here and disbanded the police and army did Iraq fall into its chaos - If usa didnt have a police tension what could take place on your streets? (look at Katrina, l. a. riots)

Feelings are neither rightnor wrong. What you have to understand is that once you're on the plane, being nervous is not going to help.

My wife is a dark skinned Native American with full black hair. yeah, she looks middle eastern to some. Whenever we travel, we practically have to have body cavity searches before we get on theplane and many times people willlook at her like she's got leprosy. If they only knew. OR, if they'd just relax, they'd enjoy their flight so much better.

It's definitely wrong, but after all the media bombardment, you are led to believe that all Middle Easterners are a potential danger. Naturally, you are going to feel fear when you are fed it.

What you should do is strike up a conversation if you are nearby.

And feelings can be wrong. You can feel like you are better than someone and that's wrong.

The funny thing is I wonder how people in Iraq feel about blue-eyed people they see in helmets in their neighborhoods. I imagine they also feel fear.

Yes, its wrong and real.

Look, the fact is our terrorists today are mostly brown people with thick black hair and resemble middle easterners.

Watch 'em, be scared, whisper even, but DO NOT assume he (the brown man on the plane) gives a sh*t for Osama or what Osama's about or that he's MUSLIM (Arab=Arab not MUSLIM).

Take a deep breath and go play with the rest of the world.

No! Of course not. I live in the middle east and know quite a few arabs. They are nowhere near what they are thought to be in the west ( their perception as illiterate bearded savages) . They give to charity generously. And are also hospitable. Treating arabs like terrorists is noway to solve the crisis. You are unknowingly discriminating and practising racism. Next time you see an arab dont judge him by what he looks like but by what he is like (his personality).

I think it is good to get into a friendly conversation with the suspected passenger to feel him/her out and get a sense if they are potentially harmful to the plane. If so perhaps speak to an attendant about your concerns

It's only a natural response after all the events that have happened in the past few years. Don't feel bad.
