Are you asking where babies come from, or are you pondering whether or not the professors will know where babies come from?
The professors that I know have very weird babies. Professors get their babies from libraries and not the cabbage patch like the rest of us so they might not be the best people to ask.

they might think you're a bit naive. They might have kids, so they might know where babies come from. You might want to borrow a good science text at your schools library to find out. Good Luck!

Just give them a chance and they will give you a personal demonstration. All academically and in the interest of science, of course!
