It is recommended to wear light clothing on sunny days because it reflects light, thus it repels heat. Dark clothes absorbs light attracting heat.

Actually, the color of the fabric doesn't affect the heat absorption; rather, the type of fabric does. The whole thing with light and dark is this: When you wear a black shirt, it absorbs all light. Lots of people said that. But, due to the law of Conservation of Energy, the energy from the light can't just disappear. It turns into heat, which is why you're warm. And of course, white clothing doesn't absorb any light.

White reflects more light and therefore is cooler in the summer and dark absorbs light thereby makeing it warmer in the winter.
Remember that light if absorbed is somewhat converted to heat energy. So if you reflect it less heat is created.

Because the sun ( and thus the heat from the sun) reflects off light clothing whereas it "falls" into dark clothing, making it seem even hotter.

Light clothing make u feel cooler in summer... reverse effect for dark clothes- warm in winter....It doesnt really matter tho..wear whatever u feel comfy in. Smile!

white reflects heat black absorbs heat.sometime put a black outfit on in blazing hot weather and then go outside and do strenious work. then you wil soon understand it mutch better
