I go on the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered section of the site, and even here people always ask ignorant things all the time or you'll just see someone go, "HAHA I HOPE YOU GET AIDS!"
What the hell is a good way to vent my anger on this?! I don't feel ashamed about who I am, but I feel pissed at people who are just so ignorant and homophobic!

plumouttamymind, I have no idea who you are, I don't really judge people that quick, but when someone says something so hateful like I've actually seen people say, "Homosexuality is a sin" "Gay people are discusting" "I hope you get aids!" on the site.
And you're not exactly being helpful.

If they are repeat offenders, I just report and ignore them. This would include Miss Pootie Pie in her many incarnations.
If they are new offenders, sometimes I will answer and ask if they have the gall to call themselves 'christians,' since their words and actions show them to be anything but godly. I can't swear that I have converted anybody, but I have collected a half-dozen or so apologies!
I think it is ironic justice if you answer a homophobe's question and then vote for yourself. Since most of these folks are inconsiderate boobs, they never go back to pick a "Best Answer." So I get to be the "best" while still voicing a contrary and peace&justice opinion! And chuckle to myself to boot!

You eventually get to the point that nothing will work, so you just shine them on.
Tell the religious people to get their nose out of your bedroom.
They have the dirty minds....thinking about gay sex so much.
If they have a problem with it, then THEY have a problem.
I tell them I'd much rather be myself than them on judgment day, who will be judged in the same manner they've been judging others.
We all know that homophobic people are either uneducated and relate everything with AIDS, or they have hidden homosexual desires and lash out at others because they're so pissed at themselves.
Eventually you'll let it roll off you.

Show them no reaction because that is what they feed on, like a parasite. Then envision bashing their head in with large metal object. Or better yet, picture that stupid litte str8 moron being scared to death when surrounded by 5 or 6 leather daddies who have a thing for fisting. I bet that so-called str8 boy will be crying like a girl. Or you just imagined the same fantasy he has late at night.

We just have to remember that what we go through as homosexuals is what we are learning this time around on Earth. It is to build our character and to make us strong and beautiful people. Everyone has there problems that help them learn and progress. We have to remember that we are learning and that it is all in the way that we percieve what they are saying. We have to travel down our path a little faster than most people. We learn acceptance and respect for all people much quicker. So, if you think about it, we are just that much farther along on the path to being wonderful people!!!!!

adam, just be secure in the person that you are, some of these people are just ignorant and dont know how to respect a human, and some of these people just say these things just hoping to get a rise from people. just stay calm and be the respectful person that you sound like you are.ignorance knows no bounds, please continue to pay these jerks no attention and dont let them bother you.they have no right to judge you, if you spent a day in their lives they are probably so f'ed up its not even funny, i respect everyone, no matter who or how they are, but the whole world will never be as i.stay strong.

Well the only thing I can think of is to make yourself feel better than them. There's nothing wrong with being human? There's nothing wrong with wanting to be loved. And there's defiantly nothing wrong with opinion. I'm sorry that people are as* holes, not all of are. Try to have a happy day. :)

hey adam just stay calm and let all the homophobics spurt their ignorance . dont get to annoyed as they dont know any better because they have had a bad upbringing i asked a question on here once it simply said "gay or straight " and i got lots of answers who ridiculed me and presumed i was gay for asking it . i say let them get on with being stupid and ignorant and do your own thing

I hear ya! Stupid people piss me off too! I try to fight back and vent my anger by educating them. I do feel they have the right to their opinions too though...I just wish they would get the facts first. (And I would never wish AIDS or any disease on anyone, that's just plain mean)

Added...for your information, I don't believe I have ever posted any responses like that...don't get me wrong I totally disagree with homosexuality, but I try to be a bit more "Christ-like" In my responses...The reason I made the statement above, is because no matter what I say or do, you would have never agreed with me anyway...
