okay, anyone 18 or older with proof of age can now buy the morning after pill otc. but what is stopping 18 and older girls from purchasing it in large quantitities and selling it? did the govt even think of that? apparently not! how stupid can they be? this gives girls the okay to have sex unprotected even more. I think the govt is being just as irresponsible as they are. I am so tired of hearing girls say "it just happend, or I wasn't trying to get preg". WTF is wrong with them? nothing "just happens". everything is a process leading up to action. Your penis did not "accidently get in her vagina did it? you had to get together, go in the room(or wherever), lay down (or stand up for those of you who are gymnastically inclined) take your clothes off, and then do it. thats 3 or 4 chances to do the right thing, and in between all those chances you can't put a condom on? WTF! take responsibility. don't mean to be harsh, just venting and telling like it is!

Face it - people are not being responsible about having protected sex. Almost anyone can make a baby, but no-one has the right to create a child whose whole life will be spent suffering because of the stupidity and carelessness of it's parents. Some people are too stupid to be parents.

First choice for me is protected sex. If that doesn't happen, and the woman gets pregnant, then the other choices are abortion or adoption. The morning after pill makes sense.

If a woman is stupid enough to have unprotected sex then she is more than likely to catch an STD or even AIDs. Without the morning after pill she would pass on her diseases to the hapless infant. Better she makes the choice of terminating the pregnancy early than having a baby who is going to suffer agony before it dies.

It's been like that since the beginning of time, teens ARE irresponsible. You don't need a memo for that! OK make all of them have those unwanted babies and we will have a world with even more psychotic freaks, more crime, more people on the street. There are already too many unwanted kids out there living in orphanages, foster homes, streets using drugs. You people are so obsessed with boycotting a terminated pregnancy. Don't you have anything better to do? Maybe go read a bible or head over to chuch for mass.

I do not think this drug is safe, even under medical care there have been some scary problems. For it to be going on the market for anyone to buy is a horror show waiting to happen.
The rest of your spiel I agree with 100%. No birth control is 100% perfect. But the odds are in your favor IF you always use it.

The same thing is stopping people from reselling as is stopping people from selling cocaine or reselling any prescription medication.

It's illegal. And if someone is caught, they would go to jail.

As far as the rest of your statement, it appears you're not even considering the hundreds of possible situations where either proper steps were taken, like using condoms and birth control pills but having both fail (happens), or situations like rape, either violent or drug-induced date-rape, where there was no choice involved.

But the answer to your question is, nothing stops people from breaking the law, except enforcement of the law.

I think those anti-abortion kooks better get moving. Now in addition to protesting in front of abortion clinics they will have to mobilize in front of every Walgreens, CVS and Riteaid in the entire nation!

As for your comment, it's not the government's responsibility to regulate anyone's sex life.

I think it's okay if one of the side effects is that it sterilizes the irresponsible whore who takes it.
