I just burnt my arm on a pipe in my basement, what do I need to do to make pain stop?

First run cool water over the area don't put ice on it. Keep it submerged for atleast 5 minutes.

If the burn is blistered and is about the size of the palm of your hand, you should seek medical attention.

Get an ice bag and cover it with a thin towel and try to put it over the burnt area. or rubbing the ice on the burnt area too. Take some tylenol too to relieve the pain. Hope you feel better.

Put some ointment with Aloe Vera in it on the burn. At work we used to keep an Aloe Vera plant and use the leaves for instant relief from burns. Just tear it off and smear it on. Works great.

cold water makes it feel good as the water is running over it but once you stop it hurts like hell

put it in the freezer cool air ..... what ever you decide to do please put aloe on it after it wont blister and will not leave a scar but you probably dont have an aloe plant every one should it will stop the hurt to

It depends on how bad the burn is. If it's too bad and you run your arm under water, you will make the skin fall off.
