1) Download and install a software trial version called "adobe audition" from the website below
2)connect the audio output of your tape recorder/player to the audio input of audio card of your computer using a suitable connector, with pins on both ends.
3) Start the adobe audition on your computer.
4) Start playing the tape.
5) Press the record button on the software.
You should see a continuous waveform being generated on your screen.
This will convert the audio from the tape to digital form.
At the end of the tape. You have to repeat the same procedure.
6) Then you save the file on your hard disk. Save it as mp3 format. with 128 kbps. That will give you goos audio quality files.
7) Now You can write these mp3 files to a cd.
and you are done.

Attach the cassette player to the PC using an audio cable into the sound in port.
Use some recording software and record the tape.
Split it into tracks using an MP3 splitter
Burn it to CD
