I already have the adapter built in the back and an ethernet cable. Do I need anything else to be able to play online? I am thinking that I need a disc to make an internet account before I play? Do I have to do that? What do I do if I dont have a disc? Is there any other way to play? and would it be possible to hook it up to a netgear router?

You can set up an account from any online compatable game.
Just go to online option on the menu screen of that game, and it will have you create an account. It's free other than that.
