Geology, essentially the study of the earth/rocks, is not a branch of biology. Biology is a study of life.

Zoology (animal life)
Ecology (interactions btwn organisms and their environment)
Medicine (must understand know how cells react to certain chemicals)

i think Geology because we take it as an independent course at school.
It has anything to do with living creatures whether it was people(medicine),ecology (plants),zoology (animals)
