I noticed my instant ea bag (lipton )has a staple in it, so I am drinking lead , rust every day for that matter!? Why can't they replace staple with other material like cloth string to tie it? (some tea bags do)

Do you have others to share!???

Ohh! Good observation! I don't drink tea, but I've seen the bags. Maybe the metal is aluminum or some other type that doesn't really break down easily.

how funny!
i never thought about that...however, i doubt it is lead in the staple...i don't think the FDA would approve a product that:)

however, if you find it bothers you...they do make tea bags that don't have the little string. they are just the bag part. you'll need to scoop it out with your spoon and squeeze it with your finger, however, it's not too bad. i've drank tons of teas with bags like this.

as for any other things like this in life....i don't know. i wish i had one for you, but i just don't.

take care!

if you paid more attention you would realize the staple wont rust in the short time you are using it. Also why would the teabag company use lead in their staples? lead is to expensive and harmful, instead they use either an alloy or a steel based staple

I really do not understand some people: if you are about to drink something and you feel it is not safe for your health--there are thousands of different brands. Besides green teas cleanse while boosting the immune system--something that only Bancha-in the dried teas--is known to accomplish.

You don't leave the tea bag in the water long enough for it to rust...AND it's most likely stainless steal or aluminium which doesn't rust.

I don't think its made out of lead if that were the case they wouldn't be able to sell it. Why don't you do some research on it. Call the company and ask. Promote things to them!

I didn't want to tell you this, but, it is a vast right wing conspiracy against you.
A covert government agency is tainting the staples in your teabags.
Who did you piss off?
