As a college tutor, I can honestly say: Yes, the college will probably let him in, but he will either be asked to resit his GCSEs, esp those in Maths, English and Science (if they were poor), or attend extra key skills classes, if he has applied for A Level courses. If the college offers vocational courses, such as GNVQs, the grades he already has (apart from his U) may be ok. If he does need to resit his GCSEs before moving onto other courses, he may have to stay on for 3 years, intead of 2, but lots of people do this, so it's not a problem! His personal tutor and course tutors will probably contact your son very soon to discuss this further.

Good luck!

I am afraid that the general requirement is 5 A*-C grades at GCSEs. I think what you have to do is phone the college right now, only they can tell you, but remember that everything isn't lost if he dosn't get in. And you can always redo GCSEs, because for most courses you need at least a C grade in Maths and English. Good luck to you and him.

it may depend on the school, but a few, he'll have to rewrite though. Some colleges let u do a-levels whilst u supplement for the subjects u may have failed at GCSE but i don't know, keep researching, but he still needs to rewrite.

most places prefer higher grades, but if they honestly think he's able to do the course they will take him n mayb ask him 2 resit a couple of gcse's. or he may resit them and try again.

no baby never ..

WHO.......?

WHO is THAT ...?
not sure , if that was me or not...
not sure ,if that one who is naked as a dewdrop..
and that one who stand there,...
and watching you with his heart,,

not sure , if that was me or not...
that face which is full of ,
nails ..
and storms ...
and rocks...
really i am not sure of that ..

but i am sure ,...
that, that one whom loved you ..
and never loved any one like you ..
and always dream of you ..
that was me..
and sure i am from that ..
