Does it matter which version I play? I heard that if I practice stopping cars, making people get out and then beating them for no reason, I don't even have to go to the police academy, I can just go and get a badge.

I hope your not serious. Do you ever venture out into the real world, or do you prefer to live in the virtual world of games? You ought to pick more educational ones at least. GTA is just "Garbage, That's All."
To get a real job you need to go to a real school/college/academy, get a real diploma, and then go out there and apply at a real place of employment. You'll probably have to leave your TV screen for this.
