You need to get some good recipes for non-alcoholic cocktails. You an still enjoy nights out as long as you are careful (other people in pubs aren't always that considerate when you're preggers). Your body will tell you when its time to slow down.

I have read that the odd glass of wine now and then in pregnancy will not harm the baby, but obviously serious drinking will do untold damage.

Why not just find a soft drink you like and stick to that. you're lucky you still feel like partying, some of us are so laid up with fatigue and morning sickness that partying is the last thing pn our minds!

The other thing about parties/club is that the atmospheres are often very smoky and breathing in other people's cigarette smoke will not do your baby any favours at all. This might have to be a time when you put your baby first and yourself second and forgo the partying.

When i was pregnant i thought it was brilliant as well. I drank the odd glass of wine and i was fine. Its after the baby is born that your partying days wont be top priority. Its no fun partying when you have to get up the next morning to your kid with a hangover! Enjoy the few drinks now while you can!

Being pregnant, you should realize that your FIRST responsibility is to your unborn baby, so NO ALCOHOL is permitted. I have read too much and seen too many babies with alcohol abuse.

You can still enjoy yourself WITHOUT alcohol! Its not that hard.

My question is......... what do you mean that you are a "professional party gal"? That's a pretty open statement and could be interpreted (at the low end of the scale) as a prostitute.

Not sure what kind of ideas you're looking for, but my advice is: Grow up before you have your baby. Once baby is born, the partying stops. If you continue to party, you might as well adopt the baby out because it's going to be raised by baby sitters and family members anyway, so why bother?

I reckon you should get over it and come to the realisation that from now on you will have to be a 'retired' party gal, at least for the next 12 years or so ... if not more. That's my idea!

Well first of all... how long has it been since youve "touched any"? because you need to be sure that have a baby is really what you want. Do you have a husband? Do you own your own home? are you financially stable? These are all things you need to concider before you think it is "brilliant" to be pregnant.

If you're talking about drinking, you need to stay away from it, and stay away from any place you can get second-hand smoke. That is NOT good for you or your baby.

If you need something to drink, try some non-alcoholic drinks. There are some good recipes at Flora's Drink Hideout:
