I hate when customers come in and bring their 7, out of control, kids and then complain that they're poor and don't have much money. Um...lady, a condom costs about $2 (a good one at least) and a kid costs $100,000. why do so many stupid/poor people have so many godamn kids??

I think that its more about not taking precautions to prevent pregnancy than actually trying to spawn a basketball team, and obviously, there is no consideration made toward the cost of raising a child. Poor women who are horny need to go find something constructive to do, like a j-o-b. If you're struggling with two, WTF would make you lay down and make more?

And men need to stop purposely inpregnanting women with no intention of being fathers to these children..

Some people want families and if you wait til you can afford one your either to old to enjoy or you simply never have any children.
God blesses the womb whether you think oops or accident it was meant to be. My grandmother had 12 kids in the depression and times were more tough than you could have handled and if not for the kids she bore my father would not have fought in 2 wars for this country or my uncles would not own a big dairy farm where your cheese and milk come from.... things happen cause they are meant to be and sometimes the poorest people have the most important children Hince Abraham Lincon you know the 16th president of the US.
So I can understand your frustration that the kids are not always well behaved but poor isnt in money its in the heart and those families are more rich than you at the moment so God bless

They actually may not know anything about birth control. Or, the husband/boyfriend won't use a rubber and they can't afford the pill or anything else. There could be abuse and rape of the woman continually etc etc. Sometimes they are just plain stupid or really want kids and don't think about the money. They think they can live off of welfare or something.

Even though I feel as if I'm answering the young and uninformed (I was kind and didn't say ignorant), I will offer an answer that I hope has a kind of maturity and insight that you will be able to digest.

You may be surprised to know that several families--mine included--have a number of children and would be considered by many as "affluent."

Also, not everyone is so willing and eager to compromise morally on their sexual and reproductive habits. Becoming "condom and birth control" addicted is not exactly preferable to finding a natural and mature way of living.

Also, should you ever reproduce, you may find that your quality of life is majorly improved--that is, if you one day find a balanced lifestyle, a sense of morality, more education on social issues, a more positive outlook, and a fellow human being who is decent--yet still willing to reproduce with you.

Lastly, because I am not the kind of classist bigot that enjoys looking down her nose at those less financially blessed, I have personally encountered many financially poor--yet spiritually rich familes who DO NOT ACCEPT CHARITY,( that would include welfare). They work hard, long hours and raise children who learn the value of hard work, love and family.

I sincerely hope this answer helps you--and all others who may have needed a little mental adjustment.

I know that the statistics say that women who are less edjucated have more children than whose of higher edjucated women. Personally I think that is because women who persue higher edjucation have goals that children don't come into untill later in life and when they do it's one or two kids. Personally my only true goal is to be married, and have mass kids. I don't care about expensive gear and high end cars or anything of that nature. I want a big country house on mass land and losts of kids to fill my home. My biggest fantasy is of Christmas morning when I gather my children around the breakfast table and open our presents. I know that life for me and my husband would not be easy and the kids certainly wouldn't have every new toy on the market but they'd be loved and their possetions would be counted in their hearts not their toy box. More than one great American came from big poor families and where the better for it. Lots of children and pressures from having large families is an expreience that's not for everyone. And maybe you see them as stupid and poor but maybe when they tuck their children in at night the feel richer than Bill Gates!

you agree with me that life becomes a bother once your pocket is empty or can't meet the family needs. In real sense, money talks in this case. For instance the rich would afford visiting clinics for family planning and related advice. Others keep many chiks beside thier wives, find solace in beer or other secondary neccessities. I wonder where else a poverty stricken man would take his frustrations rather than turning furiously to his wife

This is a good question and there are alot of answers. I know people who dont have money who have kids becuase they said they always wanted kids and they wasnt gonna let money be a deciding factor in having a child. Some women meet different men thinking that they are the one and have a child by them hoping they can keep the man and then he's gone, another man comes along and here's another baby.

Some women dont believe in birth control; others dont believe in abortions

I always wondered why the people in Africa have alot of kids and they know what their environment is like and the struggle. It really doesnt make sense.

In Britain I wouldn't say people do it for the money, I mean £40 odd a week doesn't go far, I'd say it would more likely be due to lack of education, this lack of education you can blame the government for rather than the individual people

I am a social worker and see this often. But I am empathetic and sympathetic to them.. unlike yourself.

I believe that low income and lower functioning people have so many children because for one.. they are not educated enough to know exactly WHEN you can get pregnant therefore they cannot avoid. And for two.. more often than not.. they do not understand the concept of birth control and will often say they are not on any because they do not have insurance and cannot afford any other means of BC. Not everyone is dealt a good hand in life where things are handed to them on a silver platter. And not everyone is born with commone sense and intelligence. It is our job as human beings to help them become more educated on the prevention of pregnancy. It is a difficult conept to grasp.. keeping up with periods and ovulations.. it is hard if you honestly do not have enough intelligence to know how to do it.
