Wow, I'm amazed that so many people actually worry about fat people existing in this world! When we have children being abused, the educational system letting kids down, more homeless people than we can count, you're worried about fat people? Society has WAY bigger problems than being concerned about the size of my jeans.

I am fat. Whoopee. I'm also university educated, happily married, a professional with a good job, and living a normal, everyday life. I don't smell, sit on my a** all day and eat bonbons, chow down on MacDonalds or other fast food, live my life on welfare, or spend my life in the doctor's office, eating up your hard earned tax dollars. I don't live the stereotype so many people seem to have about fat people. Actually, lots of fat people don't.

I am tired of the constant barrage of hate-spewing villification put forth by many people about fat people. You think you're better than me because you're thinner? Give me a break-if that's how you value your self-worth, than it's time to find a counsellor. If there were no more fat people, society would find someone else to pick on-simple as that. Except alot of us are not taking it anymore, so be prepared...

Oh, and thinking I can just diet and be done with it? Yeah, why do you think you see "Results not typical" at the bottom of every diet ad you see? BECAUSE THEY DON'T WORK! 80% of people who follow a weight loss regimen gain the weight back and more. I'd rather we focused on fitness rather than waist size.

So, how about being concerned about how the world will look if we don't start taking better care of our children, our elderly and each other? We're all connected is some way, shape or form, and we need to love and respect one another in order to make this world work.

I think much of that depends on what you define as "fat"...different people have different perceptions about size. Also, you can be fat and be fit, depending on your overall health. For example, someone who is diabetic may excercise regularly, but they still really have no control over their excess weight.
In the fashion world, it's "fat" to be over a size 4!
I think if we concentrate less on size and concentrate more on overall health, it is better for everyone.

the world might tip further to the south.... seriously, there would probably be less demand for doctors and physical fitness instructors. Hell the price of food might even go down as the demand for so much of everything would not be so high

Hi,
Fast food sales would drop drastically, or at least the super-sizes. There would be a change in how people, who were overweight, would be accepted.
