i had an epidural done on me and i got these headaches that were so so so bad that i wanted to die if i get the epidural again on this birth you think it can happen again. actually i dont think the meds worked caused i felt everything i felt the baby coming out,

i heard he put the epidural and i know it and i also heard something about a spinal block too so i dont know i think i should stick without the epidural,

this is one of the adverse affects of an epidural and may happen again

Are you sure you got an epidural and not a spinal block?
What you are describing is a common side effect of a spinal block and not an epidural.
I have had both and I got the severe headaches with the spinal but not with the epidural. The headache associated with the spinal can be cured with what is called a blood patch.
ask you Doctor and make sure before hand that you are indeed getting an epidural.

when my best friend had her 1st baby they didn't do the epidural right and it cause her to have terrible migraines unitil her daughter was about week and a half old! She was in so much pain, it was very hard on her! Hope this helps!!! she is due anyday now with her second and she keeps telling me that she in not getting an epidural, which i don't blame her at all!

Its a chance we all take when we get the epidural. I had floating numb patches on my back for 4 years after mine.

I've heard about this but I've had both the regualr epiduaral and the spinal block and didnt get headaches from either one.

i got a spinal headache with my last one. it was REALLY REALLY bad.nothing worked. luckely unlike you i felt nothing of the birth. i even had to go back to the hospital 5 days later to be looked at. i couldn't even move my head. i don't think it will happen again, but if we decide to have another on i will be asking!!

my last epidural, I had a c cection, I had a headache after the medication wore off for like 5 days I had the headache........ it is very normal...............i hated the headache tho, i ha to drink lots and lots of caffine to relif my headache,
