rajasthan cm's escapist statement defending her minister sounds unreasonable, but also true is the fact that all the facilities cannot be deployed at a single place. What should be the role of government is such a scenario? what should be done to anticipate such a situation in future ?

it is sad that such a thing happened in our country. i am very sure that no worthwhile efforts were made to save the five persons. the least that could have been done was to requisition a helicopter from the closest airfield by the minister present there and the lives could have been easily saved. efforts by the two army men speaks really high of our soldiers who are ready to give the supreme sacrifice beyond the call of duty and on the other hand are the total incompetent b*****ds and i am talking of our politicians who are total spunk less and without any grey matter or initiative. it is unfortunate that none of them dies in such a manner.

It is a very sickening thing watching people just drown like that and others just watching helplessly. I bet if these people would have been VIPs the government would have definitely done something to save them during those horrible 11 hours of struggle.

to anticipate such a mishap in future is impossible but reaction to the situation shud hav been faster ans a rescue by a helicopter shud hav been the first option.

IT IS VERY UNFORTUNATE THAT NO ONE COULD SAVE THEM. IF THE PEOPLE OF THE SURROUNDING HAD DONE SOMETHING. THEY COULD BE SAVED. CIVIL ADMINISTRATION COULD DO MANY THINGS TO SAVE THEM.
