Only you can define what's "right" for you. Happiness comes from within--not material things.

I was at one time close to your situation. I was divorced (ex wife was very materialistic and I didn't make enough so she left me for someone else she thought would make more money) and very near filing bankrupcy. I decided to work it out and pay it myself. It took almost as long as the bankrupcy would have been on my credit and it shot my credit to hell, but I did rise above it. And I feel better knowing I didn't take the easy way out.
11 years later I am remarried to a wonderful wife now for 8 years, we own a custom built home (worth almost twice what I owe on it) which I helped design, plus a rental property with over 40,000 in equity in it. We have a vacaton timeshare, both our cars are paid for, I start a new job next week that offerred me 21% more than I am making now. (When I started here last spring I got a 35% raise!) I will be making almost twice what I was only 3 years ago.
It has taken time. I went back to school just after I married my wife who is with me now. She worked hard so I could go. She then went after I graduated. Between the 2 of us we make almost 70,000 per year. Believe it or not we still have times where money is tight. We are asset rich but at times cash poor. But we survive. It is mostly for the future and our kids education we have all this anyway.
My ex-wife? She moved with her new husband to a little town in Wyoming and lives in a trailer house. Ironic isn't it?
It won't happen over night but see where you can improve some part of your life a little each day and before you know it all this will be in the past.

If you have moved several times that probably isn't helping. It takes at least 3 years to feel "at home" in a city. Find a social organization where you get out to go to events or meetings. 2 divorces are not that uncommon now days. (it just means you aren't afraid of commitment, that's all! ;) The only person that can make you happy is you.

You need some time and help to work on yourself. All of the answers are in you not in others. Get some therapy and talk it out. You may have some negative behaviors that you are totally unaware of. If you see yourself as a winner, you will become a winner.

The first part of any solution is recognizing the problem. The second part is fixing it! Try staying in one place before you get too old and realize... you have no retirement either!

If you can't figure it out on your own, then go see a therapist, he/she will help you "talk it out". Most importantly though, spend quality time with your kids. Good luck!
