People trust Democrats to handle our national security. In the latest CBS News and ABC News polls, more people trust Democrats to make the right decisions on Iraq. And in the latest Newsweek poll, nearly two-thirds of Americans agree that the war in Iraq has not made us safer from terrorism. Meanwhile, as Iraq descends into civil war and becomes a new training ground for international terrorists, cargo coming into our country still isn't being inspected. While the Party of Bush scrambles to write its latest talking points calling anyone who opposes them "al Qaeda types", nuclear materials sit unguarded in the former Soviet Union. While the administration organizes lawyers to try to salvage its illegal domestic spying program, Osama bin Laden continues to remain free roaming around northwest Pakistan making videotapes five years after the tragic events of September 11th. It’s time to let the Dems. Play offense. Who is with me?

I am sister, the criminal Bush administration has taken a vibrant, well-adjusted country in surplus and turned it into a polarized, exclusive, war-mongering nation who is despised by the rest of the world, we are also the laughing stock. The decline happens while DUH-bya preaches against terrorism yes terrorist attacks are increasing around the world and in Iraq where our kids are dying, it's only a matter of time before they happen here again, heaven help us all. If another criminal repuglican gets elected, I'm fairly certain we won't make it.

If the best you have to offer is someone like Hillary Clinton, I'll happily enjoy another four (or eight) years of Republican leadership. Polls may show that the nation trusts Democrats on National Security, but history shows that they have taken us to more wars and cost us more U.S. lives than the Republicans. (Vietnam - Kennedy/Johnson, Korea - Truman, WWII - FDR, WWI - Wilson...). The only other major war started during a Republican presidency was the Civil War, and that turned out pretty good for our country. Given time, the Iraq war will prove to have the same positive impact on our country, and more importantly, the world as a whole...

Yeah cause the last time a democrat was in office he did such a good job defending America. After US soldiers were killed in the USS cole accident you know what happened, Clintonlaunched two(yes just 2) missles into an abandoned training camps. Also while he was in office he was advised that Osama Bin Ladin was going to be in sudan with the prince of the united Arab Emirates. Rather then blow up their hunting camp and take out Osama, he called the king of United arab emirates, and told him he should have his sons leave because they wanted to attack. The next time the satellite flew over The camp was on fire and everyone was gone. DOn't try and put this all on this presidency. He is trying to do what Clinton didn't have the guts todo. HE was too busy getting hummers to do his job.
Oh and by the way don't criticize the bush administration for not knowing the terrorists were going to attack on September 11th, then get pissed off when they try to monitor more. If they asked the courts for permission then its public record and everyone knows and communicates different. Democrats are the most wishy washy party there is. You are fear mongoring flip flops. You can't have it both ways. At least republicans believe something and stick to it, not listening to whatever the TV tells them to be outraged about. I cant stand you idiots. Half of the problems in the country are remnants of the clinton administration. Financial impacts of a presidency take years to take effect. I can't stand it when ignorant people open their mouth and crap rolls out cause thats all they know.
Idiots.

And to the guy who posted underneath me, the reason sept 11th happened is cause Clinton didnt do his job. Don't try and put something off on the new president that was perpetrated by another useless democrat. Oh and when you put a link to greenpeace on your post NOBODY WILL LISTEN TO YOU !!!!!

Im not saying George W Bush has been a great president, but at least he is doing the right thing even if the liberal media has turned hom into a villan. I hope the democrats run Hillary, because every poll out there has her losing to whatever republican she faces. All we need is a bleeding heart liberal with PMS in office.

First your wrong about the domestic spying. THe program is Terrorists Survelliance Program.
Its INTERNATIONAL thats not domestic. International means OUT OF COUNTRY calls. Lets get the facts straight here.
Furthermore, Bin Laden has 100s of look a likes. It's hard to say weather or not the man is even alive. Living in a cave. This isn't exactly your "typical" man hunt.
Those video tapes thats a joke in itself.

Here's a San Fran paper link Q&A about the program.

Even a liberal NPR link here. Remember those 19 hijackers lived and trained in Florida. How quick you forget.

Slick WIlly Clinton used the program. Jimmy Carter started it. Why now the outrage? Since what 1976 was Jimmy's era? Why now? Link below

No, I want a third party. I am sick to death of both the right leaning Republicans and left leaning Democrats. I want a moderate party that will actually listen to those of us in the middle. Which by the way, most of the U.S. is in the middle, not the liberal or conservative trash that tries to be in charge. We are the ones who vote for your candidates and get them elected.

I am with you with reservations and a nagging urge for revenge. Clearly we are off track and bin Laden couldn't have wished for a more rapid demise of "once a great nation." We have mortgaged our grand children's future for a senseless war that has distracted us in a misguided military misadventure, misspending funds that might have been used for legitimate safety and security endeavors like port security. National priorities have never been so off base -- such a huge mess that the next president is doomed to fail. I'd hate to see any but a proud Republican be in that position.

With checks and balances in place, a new party in power in Congress things will be better. But Bush has demonstrated just how far astray an administration can go. Alas, much as I'd like to see a Republican struggle with the mess Bush has made, looks like it has to a Democrat. God help him or her. It could not be a more thankless job.

Of course CNN and ABC would say that the majority of Americans want Democrats to do the job because they are a part of the left-wing media.

If Americans wanted the democrats to do the job then they would have voted for them for both congress and President instead of republicans occupying the majority.

It's never time to let Democrats "do the job" because the vast majority of them have never held a REAL job. Most of them are career politicians, which means they have never worked in the real world and therefore know diddly-over-squat about what it takes to defend a nation, revitalize an economy, forge social cooperation, etc. All they really know how to do is stand in the way of progress, spend billions of taxpayer dollars on useless junkets, and vote themselves a pay raise every year.

The Republicans have raped this country beyond comprehension. Unfortunately, the Democrats will only do the very same thing. 'Republicrats' are one in the same, looking out only for themselves without regard for the people of America.

Until the American people get off the couch, put down the remote, and demand their country back, politicians of either Republican or Democratic persuasion will continue to suck off the taxpayers' teat while doing absolutely nothing for the betterment of this country.

Thomas Jefferson once said: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." That time is way overdue.

A new American Revolution must be ignited. The Constitution allows us to bear arms against a tyrannical and oppressive government, but we won't do anything as long as we're still "comfortable". Like lobsters languishing in a pot of lukewarm water, we won't start screaming until the water starts to boil.
Then it will be too late.

By then the Republicrats will have annihilated this nation, and there will only be two classes: a handful of the very, very rich and (the rest of us) the very, very poor. You see it today in the Dominican Republic and Haiti, where failed governments have failed the populace. Within a generation, it's possible that our great-grandchildren will be living in squalor, unable to find enough fresh drinking water, unable to breath clean air, and unable to earn a respectable living.

George W. Bush, his evil administration, and the sitting U.S. Congress are among the most corrupt, incompetent, cowardly, arrogant bunch of morons ever to occupy power inside the beltway. They all deserve to face charges of high treason and crimes against humanity, and - if convicted - should stand in front of a public firing squad. Unfortunately, if we vote the crooked Republicans out, we only replace them with crooked Democrats because the two political parties have a stranglehold on our political system that prevents innovative concepts, fresh ideas, meaningful dialog and public involvement in the process. If you honestly believe your one vote "counts", you're haplessly naive. -RKO-

Not so much that people trust the Dems to do an outstanding job as much as the current is doing just a terrible one.. We need a change very badly. We've tried the reps and the dems. One party did a much better job. It's time to go back to the "good life".. Vote Democrat!!
