Take breaks. But don't watch TV, too easy to not stop watching, same for the internet.

I like the advice to listen to soft music (I reccomend classical, especially Mozart, if you like it) and taking 15 minute breaks every hour. Also, if you're just not getting it, ask someone for help. Ask a parent (if you live at home), teacher (if you have time before you hand it in), friend, online groups like this one, etc. Knowing you'll have help if/when you need it should be a huge relief!
Good luck!

do it without your cellphone on, tv on or webmessenger on.
sit with stiff chair, so you will want to get it done and sit in a more comfortable area.
do it as soon as you get home from school, the work is still fresh in your mind and then you have your evening guilt free.
Dont wait till the night before to write an essay, unless you are a editor for a newspaper or a published author. Writing is like basketball, you must practice and learn the moves, well before the tournament.
do homework alone for the easy parts and with friends for the hard parts.
reward yourself with a walk around the block instead of candy or food.
do it in a well lit room, with daylight blue bulbs if possible.
dont think of it as homework, think of it as practice for life skills, public speaking and speeches are important in your life later on if you work in any service industry.
and dont look at the answers at the back of your math book in grade 10 like I did.

Dont wait till the night before to do all your homework! Spread it out from the day you get it to the night before its due. Do a little homework everynight and you wont be overloaded!

Open a soft music not loudly, rest for at least 15 minutes after each 1 hour study. Don't try too hard. It will make you anxious.

Do your homework with a friend or friends. That way you have someone to bounce your ideas with. Your friend(s) should be studying the same subject and/or at a higher level than you.

Think of all the cool stuff you will be able to afford if you keep at it. Screw having fun, get your work done, get into a sweet college, graduate, then have fun.

Play a song something up-tempo and workout. Your brain works well when you exercise.
