Go Malaysia with a tank of 3/4 full to play safe or else surely get caught by the immigration police then they ask u to come out of the queue to top up petrol at the petrol station and join behind the others then can proceed into Malaysia, which means u have to waste time .

The law is 3/4 tank. If you are caught with less than 3/4 tank, you can be fine up to $500. First timer normally is $50.

It depends on the vehicle. I would go with 3/4 of a tank just to be safe!

When the law was first passed, it was half tank.
A couple of years ago, they have changed it to 3/4 tank.
In other words. you have to ensure that your vehicle is 3/4 full when passing the customs checkpoint.
Cheers.

It's upon your destination. If your source and destination is so near or so far (eg; near border line ). Go and visit all around in Singapore or Malaysia. I recommend you if you tanks is fulled you can go as much as you can.

It's safest to be visibly over half a tank.
(Curse those cheap Johor petrol stations!)

always fill the tank if you can afford to do so, to take care of any unforseen problems that you might want to address.
