In a study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, (1997) Allan Geliebter and colleagues from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons reported their data of obese patients who took a 600 calorie diet for 4 weeks.

Patients were studied before and after the 4-week test period with a stomach balloon measuring device. The researchers found that the obese dieters had a 27% reduction of the measured size of their stomachs.

When your pregnant they say it takes your body atleast a year to get back to normal so in the case of dieting and eating right without the stress of pregnancy it should be less than that but don't get discouraged. Keep eating right and you will start feeling better first and the rest will come with time. DON'T GIVE UP!!!!!

Good question!

I've been seriously dieting now for 14 days. Lost 11 pounds and feel awesome! I am not eating as much as I used to....so, I would say 14 days!

If you're still hungry, try diet sodas or water. Diet sodas provide that little bit of sweetness that some crave now and then.
