depends. Wait and take another one, or save yourself the worry and go request blood work from your dr's office.

To get a positive result you have to have the pregnancy hormone in your body so false negatives are extremely rare (or it was true but your body rejected the pregnancy)
You could be pregnant sometimes the test just did not detect the hormone yet. I would take another test of another brand and see what it says. If it also is negative then I would say that you are not pregnant you probably just ahve a late period

If the test says no, it means no. Wait about 1-2 weeks then get another test. It has something to do with your hormones. When I was pregnant with my first child i took 3 store bought tests, they all said no, but I had all the symptoms and waited 2 weeks, and went to a clinic and got a test, guess what, I was pregnant. So don't discouraged, and good luck.

I was in this same situation before. I was late and took a preg test, it showed positive. I became suspicious because I was slight spotting or something so I took another preg test and it showed negative. I was so confused and didn't know what to believe. I was also angry because I thought I was pregnant, so I was stressing and making future plans for nothing. To this day, I will never ever take another preg test. I will only do blood tests. I wouldn't say that preg tests lie. But from my experience, they are not as accurate!

I'm in a relationship with my girl for more than 2 years, her cycle changes all the time, she never use to miss it too, but then it changes all the time. The are a number of factors that plays a role, if you're on contraceptives, then you cycle will change, its a fact, if your more sexually active than before, it will also change. Pregnancy test are 99.7% accurate, if you don't believe me, google it. My girlfriend was late for 3 weeks, and I thought that she's definly pregnant, but she got her period during the 4th week. If you do the test, do it early in the morning with your first urine, if it is negative, then don't worry about anything, just waite for it.

Sometimes you can get a false negative.
I'd wait a few more days and try a different pregnancy test. Make sure to check the expiration date on the package too. Maybe you got an old one or something.

At home pregnancy tests are more likely to show a false negative than a false positive. Try it again in a few days or get blood work done. If it doesn't come out positive the next time then I would think you weren't pregnant.

They are 97% accurate if used correctly.
It is more common to have a false negative then a false positive.
You should use it with your first urination of the day. It would have the most of the hormone that is used to detect pregnancy.
I would advise you to retest in a few days.
Good Luck!

tests don't lie, only people who interpret the test do.
home preg kits, while accurate to a certain degree, are not on the same accuracy level as going to the doctor and having your blood accurately checked for hormone levels, etc.
you might also want to take the test again to see if they match up with your first test results.

It depends on what brand you bought. Usually the good ones don't make mistakes, but sometimes they do. I got two kids and I took tests with both of them--and both times the tests said I was not pregnent.

Tests are usually accurate, but can be wrong sometimes.
Try another test, a different brand maybe, and see a doctor also.
If the test is wrong, that would mean you are pregnant, and you need to know for sure right away.
This bears repeating, SEE A DOCTOR!
