The dollar does not decline due to internal domestic problems alone. There are lots of countries working together to see that our currency suffers. Look up what Chavez and Ahmadinejad were doing at the OPEC meeting last week, trying to change the valuation of petroleum from US Dollars to Euros. It didn't happen, but there and was an effort. Also, since Bush met with the Dalai Lama and all the Chinese made products have been recalled, the Chinese are out to hurt our country through the devaluation of the dollar. Please don't over-simplify such huge problems. Bringing all our troops home is not the answer. There are forces vying for predominance that are not as benign our country and its allies.
