2. Mien Kompf-to show complete ignorance-what life shouldn't be
3. To Kill A Mockingbird- great story, personal favorite

great question...I have to think about the other two.

4. Catcher in the Rye-to show that a simple book could cause such controversy for its time (and still does in some places)
5.A great world history non-fiction book- so it won't be forgotten.

(if I could sneak in a sixth, it would have to be something by Hemingway, to show writing elegance)
