To back up Music from you computer, I would suggest that you get a USB Hard Disk Drive. Then connect it to your computer and simply drag and drop all your music Files to this USB Drive. When you are done, simply remove this drive and keep it safe
( this will decrease the wear and tear of the USB Drive) . If you keep downloading more music simply do this same back up procedure regularly.

Assuming you have a CD burner, the best way is to get a bunch of blank CDs and transfer all the files to CD. That way, if your computer crashes you wont lose all your precious music!

Burn it on to a cd.

Cd-R - one time... burn it and thats it

Cd-RW - burn once... add some files, delete some files... clear the whole disk.. so its blank.

but burning it to a cd, would be the best idea...

NOTE: if you have A LOT of music... too much for one disk to hold... you are better off getting a flash drive...

here is an example:

it has 2gbs

Enjoy.
