When I mentioned that I had over $2,000 worth of Harley Davidson clothing, everyone got all upset at me. But I don't know one Harley rider that doesn't own at least a few Harley logo items. It's like a requirement - if you own a Harley, you need to advertise it. And even though all of the clothing is made overseas, it still advertises my love of the best motorcycle ever made! I'm sure that even my chaps and jacket, which don't have a label saying where they were made, came from China. The quality isn't that great, like most Harley leather, and the chaps offer practically no protection, but what Harley rider is going to be caught riding around in an Aerostitch suit? So be honest - t-shirt, boots, leathers - how many pieces of Harley clothing do you have?

The reason everyone got upset with you was because of the comments that you made about someone else and then you starter bragging about your gear and your bike you sounded then and you do now sound like a yuppie want a be biker i have owned everything from HD to Yahamas and now i have an old Honda 750 custom and so far i like this bike better than i did my HD your attuide you came off with was if your not a HD rider you would not wave at some one on the road that wasn't on another HD that is wrong no matter what you ride we all are brothers on the road that was what everyone was jumping you about you comments about how because how much you payed for your bike and gear means you are better than the person that bought a Honda or yahama oh and by the way i have allot of HD gear shirts, MY HELMET eveb HD when i wear it and and my leather jacket and i wear them when i ride my HONDA all the time because no one tells me what to wear and i like the shirts they are nice shirts

Official logo? None
I wear boots made in the USA--they fit and they last.
My Bike Week T-shirts may have the name on them, but that's not what they are about. I only get a shirt if I go. I only get a pin if I ride. All my shirts were bought while riding Japanese bikes, mainly Hondas. I don't have any Honda clothing either. I ride what fits under me and I like. I wear what I like. My selections are based on my needs, not a company's advertising.
Why should I pay good money to advertise someone elses stuff?
If I'm a billboard, I should get paid.
Re-read the other answers regarding your attitude, I won't quote them all.

Both my girlfriend and I ride. When we go on road trips , Sturgis laughlin etc. we usually pick up a T-shirt or something at the dealerships we pass along the way. I did get her a pair of H.D. boots awhile back, but pretty much everything elseI.E. leather and ride gear bought for fit ,quality or in some cases a killer deal at a show. I do have an underlying dislike of paying top $ for the right to advertise ones product. If it fit great or was of a superior quality I'd have no objection to the H.D. logo' but not for the logo itself.

I don't ride anymore I used to all the time and I had a Harley too but then one night after dark I was riding and some car came out from nowhere it seemed (it did not have lights on) and hit me on the side I flew off and am no longer able to ride unless you count this wheel chair as a ride lol after the accident I sold all my Harley Davidson clothing because it made me sick to look at them and know id never ride again but I had a lot before I sold them all probably not as much as you but i had my fair share lol

Are you kidding? I don't even think I can count that high. Between the shirts and boots I have in my closet nothing else fits. And its not only me but my boyfriend too. So don't let someone who doesn't understand get you all up in arms. Like they say.."If you have to ask then you wouldn't understand." and obviously the people who are getting upset don't ride Harley's and don't understand the loyalty. Keeping riding brother and keep flying the Harley logo proud!!

Back to Harley Gear
I don't know exactly how much my son has, he rides a Harley chopper. I was going to buy him some stuff from the Harley catalog and he told me he didn't want a bunch of crap like that..logos, mugs, etc. He and his his lady both ride Harleys and
they both wear Harley muscle shirts sometimes..mostly wear shirts from their runs. Other times they wear shirts that say things I pretend I don't see. They are both wear only black gear and are beautiful to me, even with dewrags.

I have a few t'shirts. I'll pick one up every once in a while if I go out of town. My ex bought me a Harley jacket at a dealer. She spent about $425 for it and I never wore it. I sold it on ebay for about $125.

You are the only HD rider I ever heard of that gave a s'hit about who says/thinks what about what he wears, except maybe the women - and they do that for a totally different reason. Chicks are supposed to give a s'hit; you're not. Maybe you should sell your Harley and buy a Honda! Like the other guy said, nobody tells me what to wear. Nobody should tell you either...you should grow a set and tell them that. And knowing that a lot of stuff that comes with the HD logo is overpriced chink crap, why not buy good stuff and have the logo put on? It'll cost less, last longer and do what it's supposed to do.

I have HD items and I ride a Yamaha...my riding shoes and one pair of riding boots are HD, and I've got 3 shirts that are HD...my best friend rides an HD as does her b/f (he has 2) and several of the people we ride with...all of them have some kinds of HD attire or accessories...
Nothing wrong with that...if you own something, you might as well be pround of it...HD isn't a bad image and they're a lot better bike than many of the naysayers claim...
