It's their body and their life, but the a lot of people that say this turn around and say men should have visectomies. Wait a minute here, didn't you say it's your body, your choice on what to do with it, then why tell men what to do with theirs? A little hypocritical isn't it. What about people who commit suicide, everyone says it's wrong, but isn't it their body, their life, and their choice on what to do? So, when a gril gets pregnant no one else's word matters not even the father of the child, she can just go to the clinic and get rid of it right? Even if the father offered to raise it and take care of it, he's out of luck because the woman in the end will have the final word and maybe get rid of it. Selfishness.

Ok First - men do have a choice with getting a vasectomy or not. If they CHOOSE not to then they should CHOOSE to be smart and safe and use a condom or practice abstinence. IF they don't then they have no right to complain! Plain and simple.
Second: As far as suicide it is their body but it doesn't only just affect their body - it affects others as well. And it is wrong. But it's not wrong as in illegal or as in sin (IMHO) it is wrong that they are so selfish as to take away their lives from the people who care ... and there is no problem worth killing yourself over. If they CHOOSE to be that stupid then i don't feel sorry for them.
Third: As far as the woman getting rid of the baby because it is her choice... well it is her choice. BUT if the father of the child offers to take the baby and raise the baby then that should be considered. It also depends on what other kinds of CHOICES the father makes in his life too though. Like druggies, bible thumpers who don't really want the kid they just don't want her to abort the baby etc etc etc. Lots of variables. The mother will always have to live with her decision ... the father could end up walking away. It's the mothers choice because in the end the father can CHOOSE to walk away and no one says anything! That's why it's ultimately the Mothers choice. That being said presonally i do feel that if the father wants the baby then he should have rights to say keep it...but if he backs out after she has the baby ... then that is, well to be technical, breach of contract and she can sue his a**! And personally i feel that with as many people that want to adopt these days the mother should choose to put the baby up for adoption if she can't or doesn't want to keep it.
It basically comes down to there are 3 choices in the life:
The right choice
The wrong choice
and The choice you have to live with after you choose what to do. And everyone in the world has those SAME 3 choices!!!!!

This is a very slippery slope kind of question. A lot of people would say that women shouldn't have a choice when it comes to abortion, and yet there are others who would say she does; each with his or her own moral, social, and ethical compasses gauging their opinions. If you feel it wrong for you to one day undergo a vasectomy, then it's best you find a mate who agrees. You can not look to the general public for a concrete answer on this subject, because it just won't happen.

every person has every right over their own body. But in the case of pregnancy i think its a decision that must be made by both parties however after saying this I have never seen a single dad with a new born who he is raising on his own. If a man wants to raise the child and the woman not, why is she forced to get involved? Get the legal documentation and take full custody of it from birth. Its never heard of because men want to keep it but the woman must raise it. Thats selfish

at the end of the day the woman would have to carry the child for 9 months along with all the crap that comes along with being pregnant, strech marks, gaining weight, piles, chronic indegestion and then of course childbirth itself. So it isnt just about the raising of the child. Also no man should be told to have a vasectomy however if they dont want anymore children wouldnt it be the most sensible thing to do, along with the fact it is a painless operation - not particularly invasive and very quick healing - on no par with childbirth and pregnancy. ok

it's not selfishness...ok you want to raise the baby, good on your part but for the 9 months coming who's going to physically mentally and emotionally suffer? not you, not anyone else...HER...ever heard of post-partum depression? and about the vesectamy, it's your body and your choice, you DONT have to do it, some women ask their bfs/husbands to do it cause it's cheaper and faster....the people who commit suicide my theory is if you have ot go to those links then something is really wrong, it's thme delaing with hte problem not other people, when people say everyhting is going to be alright it is not them sufffering...none of that is selfness, it is their life their body, no one can force you to have a vesectamy, you killing yourself is not selfsih but a desperate act, and a woman having an abortion is a decision she has to take because she's the one going through it.

i dont believe a woman has the right to kill a baby inside her and a father should have a say the women didnt conceive on her own what makes her think the choice is just hers,if a man and woman are going to play then they have to accept the consequences of there actions the choice was already made

short of being androgynous, we CAN NEVER be equal. Men can't give birth and women can't have upper body strength that men do. I hear you, but it's like complaining that water is wet. We just have to live with it. We try to make it better, but it will never be perfect.

You have a lot of interesting points...
If your Gf is preg you can go after her as my "X" Girlfriends lover did to her. They got each other knocked up or her knocked up then she fled yet he hunted her down took her to court and even though they weren't married got parental rights and more....
There's a lot more to this story but you have a lot of good point...

Men can have a say but not the final say, when it comes to the vasectomy bit thought your right no one should be able to tell you to go have one done.

Your point I miss. I read it like:
If a banana is yellow and a lemon is yellow, why isn't a banana a lemon and why can't they both taste the same?
