Is this going to be in a professional environment? If so, concider getting a professional to design one. An online portfolio should represent the company or individual it belongs to. So, if it's very simple looking and not visually appealing at all, it won't ever get a second visit by the same person.

However, if it's just for personal use, try companies like Geocities or Angelfire.

yahoo geocities (free, with many pre-designed page templates.) or any good web host ie; yahoo web hosting.
