No, who the hell judges people for the kind of music they listen to? I know alot of guys who hate rock and roll, that doesn't make them akward, it simply means they are excercising their rights as a human being to freedom of choice. I can't stand death meatal or rap or hip hop or club music, but i do not pass judgement on those that do.

No, it's not. I'm for punk/rock music and all but people have the differences. Not everybody has to like the same things. Becuase then the world would be boring.

Of course it's not awkward. You like whatever you want, even if all you'll listen to is synchronized hollow stick banging, that's your taste. The whole point of music is enjoyment. If you aren't confident enough not to apologize, and try to explain yourself, THEN other people will find it awkward. Listen on, to whatever it is.
