I thought marriage was supposed to be a two way street? After a few years my hubby got very lazy and boring. I asked for counseling, he asked what he could do to change, but never did. After two kids I got depressed and he said I was fine just to stop being so sad. {How kind is that} Things got rocky and someone else came into the pic. I left hubby and he says it's all my fault. Hubby and I were going to work it out and we were sleeping together while in the meantime he had a new girlfriend. He doesn't want me to ever tell her about us. I want to tell her so bad so she sees what kind of a person he is but I don't want to hurt her. She is a really nice girl. I just hope if they stay together he doesn't make her his "mother" also. Am I being stupid???

I would of left him myself. Guys need to do things for themselves and stop depending on women so much. If they wanted their wife to be a mother why not just marry thier mother.Guys think that is the purpose of women. But the purpose is to expand the world

Sounds like a bad situation and maybe both of you had unrealistic expectations. Marital satisfaction does bottom out when the kids are young and it's all work, but many couples find that staying together and working things through means greater happiness in the long run. Sounds like you tried your best.

Assigning "blame" doesn't really help. If you two have decided to call it quits then just go your separate ways. I didn't live with the guy - he might indeed have been a real load - but trying to turn his new gf against him seems petty and vindictive.

Maybe both of you learned something and will be more mature in future. I just hope the kids don't suffer.

I don't mean to be rude, but I am giving you an honest reaction from reading only one paragraph. Take it for what it's worth, which may well be "not much."

Good luck.

You pick him! I would take a look at the way you pick men so you don't do the same mistake again. Girls like bad boys and when the bad boy is bad the girl get upset. Dud! You pick the type of person you know doesn't need training to be better.

not stupid or boring--disappointed with your situation with good reason. if you can agree on accepting the mistakes and go on with your life togr=ether would be a good deal. if it's too gone get out--life is too short to be miserable
