BBWA - Baseball Writers Association of America.

Don't understand the New York comments since the MVP has been awarded to a New York player (including both teams) only 3 times since 1964. 84 awards, 3 to New York players. The Braves, Giants, Phillies, Reds, Pirates, Cardinals, Athletics, White Sox, Rangers, Red Sox, Orioles, Brewers and Twins have all had as many, if not more winners over this time span.
