I tell white lies,like when I don¸t feel going for a coffee with someone I say I have plans already..

Everyone lies but there are two main reasons
1) Sometimes you HAVE TO lie, otherwise you will be in deep trouble.
2) Sometimes you dont want to hurt some1's feelings and we all know that the truth hurts.
The above are acceptable lies but some people lie just for the sake of it or they do bad stuff intentionally and then have to lie.

A lie is a lie... big or small... it is an untruth!!!
People tell lies for all sorts of reasons. Usually, it is because 'telling the truth' would get the person in trouble.
I guess we tell lies to save our own butts!!!
There are times where telling a lie isn't such a bad thing...
for example, if it will save someone else's butt.
I guess it is just human nature... we don't like to get into trouble, so if telling a lie will save us... then a lie it is we will tell.
Don't believe anything I just said though,
because I was fibbing!!!

People lie because they want to protect someone's feelings if they tell you sceret and don't won't to tell anyone like a best friend.
And another reason people lie so they don't get in trouble, even they should tell truth. the differnce from a big lie to a little lie is for the big lie, is like you lied to your parents that you didn't smoke, wchich you did and a little lie is i guess did you feed the dog or other kind of animal you schold feed like a chore. so sometimes you schold and somestimes you shoudn't.

people lie when they dont like anything or when they are scared.big lie is a lie when it hurts someone very deeply or when someone loose .when u speak a lie and it dosenot affect anyone or it really does somethin good is a little lie

People lie because its so called fun (idiots). Well dunno the difference but the similarity is that whether its a small or big lie both of it ends up causing 1000 more lies. I lie but seriously useless things.

Lot of reasons,for money,love ,power etc.But mostly they lie to get out of trouble,or get in it.There is no difference between little and big lies! Lies hurt some one in the end1
And always cause trouble!

i noticed that most of the time when i lie it's to avoid hurting someone's feelings or to avoid confrontation. for example....the past 2 months or so i have been "lying" to my "friend" b/c she keeps pushing her christian views on me and bugging me to go to church so i have been avoiding her and when she asks me about why i don't want to go to bible study and such with her i tell her in somewhat vague ways that i'm not interested hoping that she'll get a clue and back off. but, it's been 2 months and it's not working so i guess all that lying was for nothing and i will have to actually tell her "please back off and let it go. i am not into your religion." that's why i lie, to try to spare feelings!!

I lie when its mean to tell the truth or when im in trouble and its nothing big. like staling a dollar from your sister or soemthing stupid.
