Were you on birth control?? It took me almost 2 years to concive after I only took one depo shot! Birth control (other than the pill) can really mess up your hormones! Anyway...keep trying and you'll get there soon. I've heard that a way to get pregnant fast is to both orgasm at the same time...if you don't already?!? I don't know if it works but it's worth a try... Good Luck!

When you have just finished your monthlys, this is the right time to make love, simply because you are at your most fertile time, when your partner ejaculates, and you have finished making love...it is said that if you just raise your legs up for about ten seconds, and make sure you dont go to the toilet within this time...i know this is an ols wives tale, but said to be very true, another thing said to be true is your diet, eat more fish with omega 3 oils that is said to strengthen cells, also get your husband to take suppliments of omega 3 oils to help with sperm...but you must know this if you focus too much on getting pregnant sometimes this in it'self can be a hindrence, because your stressed about not getting pregnant, it's always best to relax and enjoy each other, this may be the time you become pregnant, when you least expect it and your mind is relaxed. Good Luck to you both.

This is my standard answer......... go get a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive. My Doctor recommended it to me and after 1 year of trying I got the book. It worked the very next month. It turns out that my timing was wrong due to mis-information. I hope it helps you, too! It's not only about getting pregnant. It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths!

How long have you been trying? A good friend of mine had unprotected sex for years before she finally conceived. Every woman's body is different. When you add to that that every man has different amounts of sperm, it's easy to understand why some people get pregnant by looking at each other wrong, and others have a really hard time. If it were me, I'd try for a year before seeing a fertility dr. Good luck!

Tabby, to conceive you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.

After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.

After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.

Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 3 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

Can try to have sex in a row of 3-5 days. After sex, cover yourself with blanket to keep warm for at least 1 hour. Lay your buttock on a pillow to let the sperms flow in faster.

I have four kids, and the one thing that I know for sure is that if you are trying it's not going to happen. Don't try so hard. Try having sex in the missonary position and when you are finished pull your knees up to your chest and roll back a little.

STOP TRYING. For cripes sake stop TRYING to get pregnant.

You need to fist get to a place where you are content and happy in your life, and then have sex.

When you stress over getting pregnant it changes your pH, it causes stress in your body, and it takes the fun out of baby making. All those things make it incredibly hard to get pregnant.

Go read up on all the adoptive mothers who found themselves pregnant right after bringing their new babies home. Its a true phenomenon, cause by their own relaxed happiness. Women who were previously unable to conceive, suddenly pregnant because they stopped TRYING to MAKE themselves get pregnant.

So, just chill out. Have sex. Make babies. Live life, have fun. Stop trying to make yourself get pregnant.
