London Zoo is a great place, the enclosures are now bigger and much better than they were a few years ago, ther are lots to see and you can get really close to some of them.
the breeding rate at the zoo is high which indiates that the animals are correctly looked after and well maintained and most of all Happy!
i would thoroughly reccomend it for a day out, those who think it was an expensive day out should work out how much it costs to keep one animal for one week and multiply it! you would soon realise that they work on small prfit as much of the profits are used for research and conservation projects!

some other great Zoos are Whipsnade and Woburn, both have drive around safari areas with huge enclosures much like the animals natural habitat.

I went in May this year. I wasn't very impressed. Had a little bit to do with the fact that it was raining and lots of animals were hiding away from the rain. But I found it a bit run down and not as forward thinking as Auckland Zoo (NZ). I'm probably going to go again though as I have a half price voucher! Will pick a better day next time though. I'd say it was good.

I went to London Zoo during the Foot and Mouth Crisis. You couldn't see most of the animals. I think I should get a refund.
I'm not too fond of zoos. I took a visitor, I thought it would be a treat for them as I knew they liked animals. It was a very expensive mistake.

i went 2 london zoo a few days ago, its ok if u wana c animals. if ur interested in the welfare of the animals its nt gd the lion & tiger enclosures are way to small and some group animals are kept on own & are obviously distressed. there are alot of improvements goin on so there are no gorillas & nt alot of small mammals

I went 2 weeks ago! Its really good, they are doing some works at the moment to make room for gorrillas so you get to go again for 1/2 price!!

I went earlier this year and they are making massive efforts to make it more animal friendly and concentrating much more on conservation which is good.

I think it's worth a day out, but it was quite expensive to get in - around £17 per adult I think.

My mum took my little brother recently and they weren't very impressed because a lot of the animal enclosures are being modified at the moment so you can't see many of the animals you might want to see.

I visited as part of a 2for1 deal back in February. They were doing loads of refurbishments and quite a lot was closed. The baboons were my favourites - mad and full of fun!
