No, because some of the smartest people I know have the social skills of a monkey. And some of the most social people I know I am not sure are aware that 2+2=4. The president doesn't have to be the wisest. Look at Lincoln and Washington, or FDR; they surrounded themselves with talent and are considered by many to be amazing presidents. Did they make mistakes; YES. But each president has contributed to the founding and continuing of this great nation. Each deserve repect and though I beleive it is our right to question their decisions you don't need to be disresptful. I never critizise unless I have a better option or solution, or am very specfic about what I feel is wrong.

There are a lot of qualities that go into being President.
Wisdom, however defined, should be among them.
Many of our presidents have been unwise, or certainly done unwise things.
They're human, after all.
For example, Clinton was impeached (but not convicted) for legal problems in connection with actions that most people would consider to be unwise, but which many people recognize as not uncommon human failings..

I don't know about the wisest... that's like the dahli-llama... but He should at least be able to communicate effectively with the people of his country without stumbling over mispronounciations and pausing so much for each response.

Well if he should, we are in big trouble. The only time Bush is the wisest man in a room, is when he is alone.

Maybe they are. They were smart enough to get enough votes from all the numbskulls out there to get voted in.
I mean; they hired the right people, they said the right things, they played on the right emotions, and they played the right cards. Thats a pretty smart move. Especially to get voted into the highest office in the land.

Nobody can know everything about everything. A good president only needs to be wise enough to hire good staff and listen to their advice.
