We broke up around Christmas, and I'm still angry. We were together for 2 1/2 years and he was my first boyfriend. He was totally wrong for me and I didn't see it until I had already wasted most of my time in college when I could have been with someone else 100 times better. Any advice?

I am still really angry at my a couple of my ex's but think of it this way you learned so much in that relationship of what not to do the next go around, and what not to put up with.If you had not went thru that you would not have anything to go by in future relationships and marriage even.Look at it as a lesson learned.

Its hard to let go of your first love. You might feel angry because of what you put up with for so long, or maybe you feel mad because he seems to be doing fine without you while you're still unhappy. When the first person you really let love you walks away, you feel lousy.
The good news is, you will get over it. It just takes time, and a strong sense of what you expect from yourself & the person you are with.
And no more crying over your lost college years. There is still plenty of fun to be had. Go out with your friends, flirt with lots of boys. Distract yourself. Say yes to everything (most everything). You're free you know, no one to check in with, enjoy that while you can, because it won't last for long.

It was a bf not a husband! Come on lady grow up and use a dictionary. Big deal you spent 2½ years with him, just as long you didn't crap out a kid with him you are OK. I'll bet you $100 the next guy you meet is not going to be 100X better either. Are you going to waste the next 2½ years gripping about it?

Accept it and learn from it. You still have the rest of your life to find happiness. When you meet your next lover you'll start to forget about your first, understand that first relationship are the hardest to shake, but not impossible.

time does not heal everything. thats crap. revenge does. but if you want to go the easy way and just get yourself a really good bf that makes you really happy then eventually the anger for your ex would not be that bad.

Life’s a bi*ch sometimes…
We just have to learn to pick up the pieces, and move on with our lives!!!

Put it behind you as another lesson learned,
and look forward to brighter times ahead.
