Good question.
I think that Hillary Clinton is a far less "liberal" candidate than Kerry, but her media image is so far out of synch with reality that it will hurt her everywhere.
Add to the pre-existing image the fact that she's not much of a campaigner (in my opinion) possibly worse than Kerry or Gore, and you get a sure recipe for defeat.
I haven't decided who I'm supporting yet for 2008, but Ms. Clinton is low on my list.
Added to Jesi:
How exactly did the Democratic officeholders or establishment throw Senator Lieberman under the bus? Just about anyone of consequence in the party campaigned for him, many of them quite enthusiastically and often - Kennedy, the Clintons, Kerry, Dodd, Dean, and many more. Lamont had virtually zero support from the Democratic establishment. But the Democratic voters of Connecticut had their say and he lost the nomination because his views on Iraq were so unpopular.
The Democratic establishment is lining up behind the nominee of their party, trusting in the will of the voters to pick the candidate. I can't say the same for Bush, who has thrown his OWN candidate, a pretty decent fellow, under the bus to virtually endorse a Democrat.
Perhaps you are misinformed about how the Democratic Party has treated Mister Lieberman?

I can't see many states Kerry won going with her. Hillary's brand of politics doesn't play well on Main Street USA.
The issue is most likely moot because the party won't be going with her anyway. If they ask her to step aside she will. The example the DNC just set with Joe Lieberman is setting the tone for the future. "Do what we say or we'll toss you under the bus."
With her colorful past, including White Water, where her co-conpirators did time or conventiently died, to Vince Foster's "suicide", there is a lot of shadows to cast upon her character. She'd never make it through the primaries before her fellow democrats made sushi out of her.

dear violet,
Why would anyone want a person who is deceitful, a coward like Kerry. In the case of Hillary Research Whitewater and reap her dishonesty. She also stayed married to a liar and a cheater.
Neither of these people should be considered or in politics. These two typify and exemplify the reason we have problems in this great country. Their mistakes should be reasons why they should not be in politics in the first place.
