It depends. It may take you some time to acclimate to both the altitude and temperature. It can get quite cold there in the winter, and you are likely to be more sensitive to the cold because you are not acclimated to it. Just dress warmly and in layers, so you can add or remove clothing to be comfortable. If you go skiing in the mountains, you will also have to acclimate your body to the higher altitude where the air will have less oxygen. So do not engage in very rigorous physical activity immediately. Gradually increase activity over a period of days. And drink lots of water to stay hydrated.

not at all. it'll be cold some days and some snow, but not like in the mountains, but lots of sunshine. snow never last more than 2 days in Denver because of the dry air and sunshine, remember drink lots of water , even in the winter and even if you're not thirsty, very easy to dehydrate here with the 10-15 % humidity

Some of the rudest , unskilled drivers in the state of Colorado are in and around Denver . I'd rather take my chances getting my windshield hit by a rock in the mtns ., than drive thru Denver . It's worse than L.A.
I didn't have a problem with winter there , just bad drivers .

Denver winters are really quite mild. It rarely snows. On the occasion that it does, it is usually melted by 9:00am. It is sunny 300+ days a year.

You can drive a Miata there without any trouble.

The mountains are another matter.
