What the hell are you talking about? The rich Republicans are the ones who are fighting it. Stop listening to liars like Sean Hannity and read some actual news.

You know as well as I do that tying the minimum wage increase to a tax break for the rich was a Republican ploy to make it a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation for the Democrats. This is immoral and demonstrates exactly why the Republicans must be voted out of power.

If you claim to be a Libertarian, why are you constantly picking on the Democrats? The Republicans are the ones who want to wipe their butts with the Constitution and flush it down the toilet. Every law or amendment they try to pass is designed to undo the Bill of Rights. The Patriot Act undermines about 5 of the 10 amendments all by itself. The Democrats' only failing lately is that they haven't done enough to fight the GOP's fascism. If you truly believe in liberty, pick on the Republicans.

from what I know, the "immoral estate tax" has everything to do with it. I don't think the democrats have anything against raising the minimum wage, it's just the extra stuff the republicans are adding to the bill. (i.e. the dropping of the estate tax)

Democrats are not against raising the minimum wage. They are against the pig Republicans yet again lowering taxes for the wealthy. So it has everything to do with it. Your people just put ridiculous strings on the raising of minimum wage, so they look bad no matter what they do.

The Democratic party is against it? That's news to me!

Not that it'll help any... the inflation is a problem with the NATIONAL economy. Raising the minimum wage is just a bandaid - a very short term "solution" that won't really do anything. But in the long run it will be good for the people, I guess.

Where in the hell do you get this crap??? I don't know ANY "demoncrats" who oppose raising minimum wages. You are part of the problem, not the solution. Any mindless idiot can spew lies and hate. Do you really think this will solve any of the problems our country faces today??? Closed minded childish rhetoric is apparently the only way you know to communicate. You're quick to judge but I have yet to see ANY solutions to the questions you pose.

hmmm, i didn't nkow they are. usually democrats are for raising the minimum wage.

we have inflation and so many people think they are worth gobs of money relative to others.

i say a better cure is to lower the wages for many and cut immigration so house prices will fall, lowering the cost of living.

when we have CEO salaries at 300+ times the average worker now as opposed to 80 something times less than 40 years ago, you can see a shift to a king/peasant society, with many trying to justify their higher position with relatively inordinate sums of money.

the average american is so spoiled yet still manages to spend so much to be in debt (excesive spoilness). to most of these people, lowering their salaries would be a good thing....get them to wake up.

i contend we can have a 15 to 20 hour workweek if the cost of living went down to a manageable level, and that would entail people not buying like crazy they way they do. we have business efficiencies built into the system that would enable this to happen, IF people bought only the esentials and maybe only 5% of expendable income on friviolities.

housing prices would have to go down to a ratio of under 3 times the average person's yearly salry first, and the way to accomplish that is to halt immigration and penalize those with large families, notablly the poorer people who think irresponsible sex is the way to go. in this way, demand for housing woudl go down, lowering home prices.

it's TOO STRANGE that our government programs and PEOPLE must necesairly always think some price has to go UP instead of down to balance inequities!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
