abhinav haaay my cousin has that same name i call him abhi though.
ok anyways, listen yea ur 14 so dont think too much about life at the moment. These people saying find a way to split the time you spend between fotball and studies. Theyr half right but end of the day your just a kid so you should be enjoying yourself at the moment. Yes studies are very important but work cant be that hard at 14 can it? The question is are you absolutly sure you got what it takes to be a professional footballer, cos if u do go through this you ll proabably wanna start your career at the age of say 18ish. Does that give you enough time to improve your skills to the point where u got a good chance in tackling ronaldinho. Lol you know what im saying? thing is little man you gotta be real with yourself, if you been dreaming about being a footballer since you were a kid and your sure 500million % that you got what it takes to make it big then GO FOR IT. But if its a fantasy you dreamed up last week then....all i can say is your 14 so enjoy life, play football play whatever you want but once you get through studies, ull be rich for life! think of it that way cos thats all i was thinkin when i was ur age... $$$.
hope that helped

Hi Abhinav,
I know how it is, 'cos I was also once caught between two choices when I was young like you. I had to give up football and focus on studies and I am not repenting. If your parents and elder brother are advising you then they must have done quite a bit of analysis and come to this decision. Football is a team sport and until unless you play for a popular club or a international team you really don't have a chance of making it big.
I suggest you focus on studies and play for enjoying the game and in college if you get a break in football for playing in a reputed club then you can continue with both.
Do you know that Dravid and Kumble never lost sight of their focus on studies inspite of a punishing practice of cricket.
I wish you all the best in your endeavours. Good Luck

Prove them wrong, Tell them that you are going to turn this Childhood Fantacy in to a reality!!! If you think you are good, and you love the game then you should prove them wrong!!!
As for your schooling you need to keep it up and do your best, because there is an easy road, and there is the right road!
Easy Road: you just do enough work to stay in football, you get drafted and your living your dream! Then you get tackeld the wrong way and you break your leg or do somthing perm. and now you are sitting at home with nothing. no money no job, nothing
Right Road: You do the best you can at school graduate and go to college and you soon get drafted and then live your dream, and by some chance you get hurt and you are unable to play you can allwasy fall back because you have an education!

You will have to adjust a bit between both the things.
See, if you disobey your elders that will not be good for you. So continue your studies and spare some or much time for football.
Paty full attention to football when you are playing.
After some period if you see that you are doing excellent with football continue it and try to participate and win some major tournament. Then show the trophy to your elders. Probably that will change thier view.
You may need to stretch but I believe that is the best way.
Thanks

at 14, there may still be limits as to just how big you are going to grow, and whether or not you can get injured or, like a friend of mine, get drafted to play for UT only to run on their scout team because he was fast. Having a definite future in football is huge risk, and with aninjury, can be taken away very quickly (i tore a ligament in my leg, but because of my studies, i'm now in dental school). long story short, if you get an education, no one can take that away from you. football can go during any game. i suggest doing both. it'll be hard, but nothing worth having comes easy.

try to divide your time between the two. i mean, how great would it be if you would become a footballer, and at the same time, had a great career to fall back on. if you want to play football, chase that dream, but remember to always have a back up plan just in case you get hurt and can't play, or after you retire from football.

you might want to train as much as possible. In order to get into the wwe you have to have 3-5 years expierance as a wrestler. So if you start now you will be able to enter wwe when you are 18 or 19 years old. But you have to be really good plus be a good actor.

You need to find a balance of both. Football is great until you get hurt or old. Education gives you something to fall back on.
